Such awesome moon photos Jo. Not easy to capture. The dark/light is beautiful.

Thanks Catriona, that means a lot from a fellow photographer 😊

I am slightly obsessed with the moon. Tonight I managed to get the half moon before it disappeared behind a blanket of cloud. Maybe I’ll post that sometime soon…

Beautiful photos Jo. The night sky at this time of year is stunning isn't it.

I love this time of year for the lovely natural colours. It awakens my creativity like no other season does. I love nothing more than to get my knitting out or some sewing, with the fire on and watching something cosy on Netflix or Youtube 😊

Hi Debbie, thank you 😊 yes I could gaze upwards every night given the chance!

Cosying up in front of the fire with some crafts sounds perfect 🩶. I know what you mean about creativity at this time of year, there must be inspiration in the autumn air! Enjoy the colours 🍂🍂🍂

What absolutely stunning photos! Do you use special equipment to capture images of the night sky?

Hi Bonnie, thanks so much, that has absolutely made my day! ☺️🩶

I use a camera, rather than a phone. With the camera I use a telephoto lens and *crucially* a tripod. Then it’s a question of experimenting with camera settings. But always in manual mode rather than auto. Lots of trial and error over the years, but totally worth it!

We have also been looking up at the sky - Maeve is fascinated by spotting stars. I love the idea in your poem of casting thread from star to star to spin a web of nighttime tales!
